♥ Choosing your wedding colours may firstly feel a little daunting, especially if you are not the creative type of visually orientated.
By specifying a colour & theme it can add to your overall wedding & give a sense of visual unity.
It can help appear to make your wedding seem more elegant & more expensive than it really is.
A lot of Brides & Grooms begin to base their wedding colours on a favourite colour or shade.
It is quite popular to choose one primary colour & one or two accents. It is also a good idea to think about other factors about your wedding day.
• Does the reception or ceremony location have strong colours or a particular theme?
• Are you having a particular type of flower?
• Have you chosen your bridesmaids dresses?
• What season is your wedding in?
o Spring & summer weddings are usually popular pastels & bright colours.
o Winter weddings are more popular for the deep purples, burgundies, grey-greens & silver.
o Autumns most popular colours are harvest tones – orange, reds & yellow.
It is a good idea to avoid too much black, while it is sophisticated, too much black in your wedding & it gives the feel or a funeral rather than a celebration.
It is a good idea to balance the black with a bright colour or crisp white.
Remember to choose colours that best represent your personalities, don’t go for colours that have worked for someone else on Pinterest & online blogs; instead choose colours that you feel comfortable around that you will appreciate for years to come.
