Ten Questions from Bride to be, Cassandra
Cassandra & Darren {To be married}
1. How long before your wedding date did you start planning?
We started planing our wedding before he popped the question (I was actually going to propose to him on our 7th anniversary but he proposed on my birthday:-)) I would say a good six months before
2. Was there any special significance on the date you chose for your wedding?
Our wedding date is actually our 8th anniversary of when we first got together
3. How did you determine your guest list?
Our guest list is mainly our closest friends and family
4. Describe some of your favourite wedding details & how you came up with them?
My dress - found a beautiful dress and had it made just how I wanted it. My invites - Eliza took all my ideas and made something beyond my wildest dreams (and I have only Seen the sample) can't wait to get my hands on all my goodies
5. How many bridesmaids do you have, what do they mean to you?
In the wedding planning process we decided to avoid the whole drama of choosing bridesmaids we decided to not have any. Instead having my three children walk down the aisle ahead of me and our mums sign the registry.
6. Are you having a wishing well, gift registry or other?
We are having a bird cage. And using the money for our first wedding anniversary honeymoon cruise.
7. What is your wedding inspiration? (Think decor, overall theme & feel of the day, etc.)
Our wedding inspiration came from us really our colours are both our favourite colours. We then found our easel and bird cage which look vintage so we are calling our wedding theme a modern take on vintage
8. What (or who) helped you most in your planning process the most?
Darren has been my rock during the whole planning process to date. We have made our day what we want and all planning has been a joint effort
9. Tell me about your experience with Invitation Designs by Eliza?
Eliza has been a god sent from the first point of contact she has been nothing but helpful, professional and creative. When I talk to my friends about my invites I say my friend Eliza is making them she is just like one of the family so down to earth
10. What was the most important thing to you when deciding whom to work with for your wedding? (Suppliers, feelings, family)
Suppliers have been relatively easy to find and decide on so far we have had if they have been helpful and understanding and we liked what they were offering that's what we went for. Only had issues with one problem with suppliers to date and that was our reception venues caterer not showing up for meetings we had organised so looking for new reception venues
Wedding Secrets...
Biggest splurge: If all goes to plan and we end up booking the reception venue we are looking at at the moment that will be our biggest splurge
Best supplier: Would have to be Eliza and our Celebrant both have made us feel great about what we had planned and have been very accommodating to all our little changes we required about
Favourite purchase: Would be my dress which was the start of our inspiration
DIY/ unique ideas: My unique idea would have to be my colour choices red and Cadbury purple are not commonly seen together and just blows people's minds when I say that's the colours we are having
Number or guests: 50
Wedding budget: $10,000-$15,000
